Tuning Antennas for Maximum Gain

I’ve been working on optimizing a set of antennas recently, specifically targeting a 5GHz band… I found that minor adjustments in angle and height made a significant difference in signal strength — sometimes even as much as 3 dB in certain orientations. Has anyone else tackled similar challenges, and what strategies did you find most effective for fine-tuning your setups?

Minor adjustments can really help, especially when you’re dealing with the 5GHz band. I’ve had better luck with elevation than angle, and sometimes switching out for a higher gain antenna can make a big difference too — just a thought for those tighter spots. What’s been your experience with specific antenna types?
