Anyone else hitting PDCCH ceiling before PRBs on mid-band 5G? At a 30k-seat arena this Friday, three n41 sectors sat about 70% PRB but 94–96% PDCCH occupancy with 1.6 Gbps microwave backhaul, CORESET0 48/2, AL mostly 4/8. What tuning moved the needle for you — CORESET resizing, aggregation level relaxation for high-CQI UEs, or handover thresholds to drain cell-edge — without blowing BLER or ruining capacity planning models?
With “94–96% PDCCH”, try 3-symbol CORESET and AL1–2 for CQI≥12; small +3 dB CORESET boost, but watch PRB hit.
, hitting that 94–96% PDCCH threshold can be so frustrating! I’ve found that tuning the aggregation level sometimes helps, but it’s a tricky balance with PRBs… Have you tried decreasing the subcarrier spacing slightly?
